BloomBridge is a set of classroom tools designed to help teachers support children who need additional ways to communicate, learn, and participate — and to help families stay connected to their child's progress.

Why BloomBridge exists
Inclusive education depends on more than a policy or a commitment. Teachers also need practical tools that help them support children with different communication, learning, and behavioral needs in the classroom.
A teacher may have dozens of students and very limited time. One child may need another way to communicate. Another may need help preparing for changes in routine. Others may need additional practice or support that the teacher simply does not have enough time or resources to provide.
BloomBridge was created to help with these everyday challenges.
It provides simple classroom tools that can help children communicate, help teachers record observations and track progress, and help families receive information in a language they understand. Materials can also be printed when a family does not have reliable access to a device.
BloomBridge runs in a web browser and is designed to work with devices schools and teachers may already have. There is nothing to install, no dedicated server to manage, and no specialized IT team required.
The goal is simple: to give teachers practical tools they can use immediately, and to make those tools accessible to the schools and organizations that need them most.
What it costs
For schools and organizations that cannot pay, BloomBridge is supported by donations and grants.
Our goal is to keep BloomBridge accessible to the schools and organizations that need it, without asking them to pay for the software.
We are building a nonprofit funding model around grants, philanthropic support, and sponsorship, so that cost is never the reason a school goes without. When an organization needs additional support to introduce BloomBridge, we will work with partners to help make that possible.
We do not have a committed funder yet. As partnerships and funding are established, we will name them here and explain what their support makes possible.
A few honest notes about where we are today
We want to be open with the people who use BloomBridge, so here are a few things worth knowing about where it is right now.
It needs a connection the first time you open it.
That first visit is what loads BloomBridge onto the device. Nothing is installed, and nothing downloads in the background. After that first time, the main screens open again even without a signal, which matters for classrooms where the connection comes and goes. Two things still need a connection: a screen a teacher has not opened before, and updates — whenever we add something new to BloomBridge, the device needs to connect once to load it. We are continuing to make more of BloomBridge available offline, more reliably.
Information stays on the device where it is entered.
When a teacher records an observation, that information remains on that device. BloomBridge does not currently use accounts or cloud synchronization, so children's information is not sent to a BloomBridge server. This also means that information cannot be recovered if a device is lost or replaced.
Translations beyond English are still being reviewed.
Spanish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Filipino currently use AI-assisted translations that are being prepared for review by fluent speakers. We want every language to feel natural and respectful, so feedback from people who speak these languages is especially valuable to us.
BloomBridge is still in its early stage.
We are not presenting pilot results or claiming outcomes that we have not yet measured ourselves. The statistics presented throughout this site come from established sources including UNICEF, the World Bank, WHO, and ITU. As BloomBridge begins working with schools and organizations and gathers its own evidence, we will publish those findings alongside the external data.
